Required Technology

This class is going to involve a Zoom patient assessment test and prior to the test, sending us a video of an assessment.

In addition to an adequate internet connection, you will need a fairly recent Mac or PC (preferably not more than three-years-old) with a current operating system to complete the course activities. Because it’s built using web standards, Zoom & other programs used by Foster Calm this year should run on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, or any other device with an up-to-date web browser.

Webcam and Microphone

We will use Zoom video conferencing and so you will need a webcam and microphone. Most computers. phones and tablets have integrated cameras and microphones, but you should check your computer to ensure both works and to familiarize yourself with the settings. Zoom can also be installed as an app on your mobile device.

You will need to have at least two camera’s signed in during the Zoom patient test. We will provide guidelines of where to place cameras, etc.

Best to have the patient wear an earbud/earphone with a microphone that is blue-toothed to the phone. A wired microphone can work, just a little more awkward with the cord.
