Current Lifeguards can renew your Lifeguard, CPR/AED, & First Aid certification FAST with this class. Our new accelerate blended learning Lifeguard Re-Certification Program allows you to start your training right away, at your convenience, from any computer. You’ll complete your online program by watching videos, answering questions, and reviewing your Lifeguard participant manual. We’ll then focus your in-person training time with hands on CPR/AED & First Aid skill reviews and then we’ll get in the pool to review & practice your water rescue skills. At the end of the day, you’ll test out of the program by successfully performing water rescue scenarios.

As always, you must meet current swim requirements: 300-yd continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke. 2 minute tread using only your legs. Timed event – swim and retrieve a 10-pound object from a depth of 7-10 feet. Returning to the surface with the object and exit the pool without the use of the ladder or stairs. Successful completion of the course includes a 2 year Lifeguard & First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.

Lifeguard CertificationYou are required to have an Adult & Pediatric Resuscitation Mask for the class. If you already own these masks, bring them to class. Otherwise you can purchase both masks in a kit for $15 from your instructor.

Studying in Advance is REQUIRED:

Shortly after you register and pay for your class, you will receive via e-mail your online log-in credentials and you can begin your training. You will also receive a link to the current American Red Cross Lifeguard Manual so you can download it and review it prior to your in-person training.

Completing your pre-work is a necessity to be admitted into the accelerate blended learning Lifeguard Re-Certification Program. It will also help you get the most out of your re-certification course. You must bring proof of completion of the online program to participate in class. Reading your manual will help you pass the written test. Not being prepared could result in failing the written test or having to retake the course.

To be eligible for this course – you must bring proof of your current American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR certification to class. If your certification is recently expired, call us to ensure eligibility for the one day renewal class at 916-538-6447.

Please note: Class is non-refundable and non-transferable. Failure to complete course pre-work, or pass the prerequisite swimming evaluation, failure to show up or late arrivals, or failure of any portion of the class is non-refundable. The class will require some strenuous physical activity. You are encouraged to check with your healthcare professional before participating. If a medical condition or disability exists that might prevent participation in the activities, or if there are questions about fully participating in the Lifeguard course, please contact Safety Training Pros (916) 538-6447 to discuss this before enrolling.
