Adult CPR/AED with Standard First Aid (5 hours)
Prepare your staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Adult CPR (2½ hours)
For employers who need adult CPR training only, this hands-on skills training prepares participants to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in victims in victims over 12 years old. Adult CPR/AED is available in a 3 hour course. Free online quarterly refreshers. 2-year certification. If money is a consideration, consider the comparable ASHI class
CPR Child & Infant (3 hours)
This course teaches participants how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children age 12 and younger. Infant CPR is available separately and applies to infants up to 12 months; Child CPR is available separately and applies to children between the ages of 1 and 12 years old. AED Adult & Pediatric
This course teaches individuals currently certified in CPR, the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). 2-year certification.
Standard First Aid (2-3 hours)
Participants learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as bleeding, burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses (stroke, diabetic, seizure, allergic reaction, poisoning, and bites and stings), head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies. Bloodborne Pathogens Training (1½-2 hours)
This course meets OSHA’s revised Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. To teach employees how bloodborne pathogens are spread; how to help prevent exposure incidents by following work practice controls, using engineering controls and personal protective equipment, practicing good personal hygiene and properly cleaning and disinfecting equipment and supplies; and how to recognize, report and follow up on employee exposures to infectious materials. 1-year certification. Injury Control Modules (1 hour each)
Focusing on common causes of worksite injuries and key health risks, these one-hour awareness-level modules highlight risks and promote prevention. Self-assessments help employees recognize risky habits. Demonstrations and lively discussions reinforce practical prevention tips. Modules include: Ergonomics; Slips, Trips and Falls; Back Injury Prevention; Workplace Violence Awareness; Managing Stress; and Your Heart Matters.
Administering Emergency Oxygen (1 hour and 40 minutes)
Gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to a victim of a breathing emergency using breathing devices, including resuscitation masks, bag-valve-mask resuscitators (BVMs) and emergency oxygen. Prerequisites: Current adult, child or infant CPR certification. Course length is 1 hour, 5 minutes when taught with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers. 2-year certification. First Aid and Preparedness (1½ hours)
Streamlined to fit into busy work schedules, this interactive presentation is ideal for employees who want to learn lifesaving skills, but do not need to receive certification to meet OSHA regulations. A 90-minute session is packed with information to help employees stay prepared with valuable lifesaving skills.
Review Courses:
Do you re-certify every year or two? Consider taking a review course to renew your certification and save yourself time! Each participant has the opportunity to view the video segments, practice and then perform skills for evaluation. To be eligible to participate in a review course, the participant must possess a certificate not more than 12 months expired for the course being conducted. Those without a certificate may not participate in the review course option.
Challenge Courses:
Do you really know your stuff? Take a challenge course! You demonstrate your knowledge and skill competency for certificate renewal. Participants have sole responsibility to prepare for the knowledge and skills evaluations. Anyone is eligible to participate in a challenge. If they do not pass the challenge, they can enroll in a review or a full course.
