Join us for the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Re-Certification Hybrid Class in Livermore, California! The class includes two days of in-person training and an online pre-course requirement. This comprehensive course is perfect for Wilderness First Responders looking to re-certify or refresh their skills. Over two days of in-person training, participants will cover essential WFR topics, engage in hands-on skill practice, receive updates on current wilderness standards, and participate in realistic wilderness emergency scenarios. This hybrid course also includes online learning, featuring pre-class reading, an online Patient Assessment, and a written test.

Our training curriculum follows the guidelines of the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS). The WMS Practice Guidelines for Wilderness Emergency Care provide the best practices for managing wilderness trauma, environmental illnesses, and medical emergencies. Additionally, our training meets or exceeds the Wilderness Medicine Education Collaborative (WMEC) standards for Wilderness First Responder certifications.
Optional add-on HSI Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification:
Be sure to register for the HSI Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification! This optional add-on class is available on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 5:30-8:30 PM. Participants who opt for this class will receive a link to pre-course videos that must be completed prior to the in-person training.
