This class is ideal for Wilderness First Responder Recertification students completing their class on January 25-26, 2025, as well as healthcare providers, public safety professionals, and individuals in healthcare training programs who require BLS certification. The course is conducted in a blended learning style, consisting of approximately 3 hours of online learning and 3 hours of in-person skills practice.
The HSI Basic Life Support (BLS) program is designed to help participants gain or improve their proficiency in high-quality CPR skills and teamwork for adult, child, and infant patients. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 2-year BLS certification. This course reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations from the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and aligns with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. Continuing Education Hours are also available for Emergency Medical Services (CAPCE) and Dental Professionals (AGD/PACE).
After registration, participants will receive a link to the online video program. Before the in-person skills practice session on Friday, January 24th, students must watch all assigned videos and pass the online test. The hands-on practice session will take place from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Please bring your CPR mask (Adult & Pediatric) to the in-person session. If you do not have one, you may purchase one from your instructor for $20 (cash only).
