1-Day Wilderness Workshop + CPR/AED
This 8-hour workshop blends essential wilderness first aid with CPR/AED training, offering a compact and flexible course tailored to your group. It’s perfect for outdoor groups, camps, or teams that need a comprehensive overview in a single day.
What You’ll Learn:
- CPR and AED operation
- Scene safety and patient assessment (primary and secondary surveys)
- Bleeding control and shock management
- Musculoskeletal injuries and splinting techniques
- Heat illness, hypothermia, and cold-related injuries

Wilderness First Aid (WFA)
Our 2-day Wilderness First Aid course is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, camp leaders, and scout volunteers who want foundational training in backcountry medical response.
This course emphasizes practical skills, critical thinking, and real-world scenarios to build confidence in responding to medical emergencies in remote settings. The curriculum is regularly updated to reflect the latest wilderness medicine best practices.

- Patient assessment and medical decision-making
- Wound care, fractures, and improvised splinting
- Hypothermia, heat illness, lightning, and drowning
- Evacuation planning, SOAP notes, and leadership

Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
This 80-hour Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is tailored for individuals seeking an in-depth understanding of wilderness medicine. It is ideal for professional outdoor guides and enthusiasts who desire comprehensive knowledge and skills to address common injuries and illnesses encountered in remote outdoor settings.
Beyond certifications, the course empowers individuals with the confidence and skills needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies in remote wilderness settings, enhancing safety for both themselves and others. Additionally, the curriculum is continually reviewed to ensure it aligns with the most current guidelines, providing participants with up-to-date knowledge and best practices in wilderness medicine.

Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Recertification
Participants can re-certify their WFR certificate within 4 years of class completion. This abridged course refreshes essential topics and skills covered in the full class. Proof of current certification is required. Safety Training Pros accepts certifications from organizations that follow WMS guidelines.
Course Format
Refresh your WFR certification in a 2-day hybrid course, combining online prep with in-person training.
