This Sacramento-based certification course provides hands-on training in lifeguard skills\, water rescue techniques\, CPR/AED\, and First Aid. Attendance on all days is required to complete the program. \n\nCourse Highlights:\n\nOnline Pre-Training: Complete the required online learning program. View System Requirements before starting.\nParticipant Manual: Read the American Red Cross Lifeguard Participant Manual (ebook provided after registration).\nIn-Person Skills: Practice water rescues\, CPR/AED\, and First Aid under instructor supervision.\nCertification: Receive your Lifeguard Certification including CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid\, valid for 2 years.\n\n\nWho Can Attend:\n\nMust be at least 15 years old.\nMust pass swimming prerequisites:\n\nSwim-Tread-Swim Sequence\nJump in\, submerge\, resurface\, and swim 150 yards using front crawl\, breaststroke\, or both (goggles allowed). Tread water for 2 minutes using only legs\, then swim another 50 yards. \nTimed Event\nWithin 100 seconds\, swim 20 yards (no goggles)\, dive to retrieve a 10-pound object from 7–10 feet deep\, and return it to the surface.
